Highs: Autoart and Kyosho both do the 2002Turbo, and I think the jury is out on who's is better. Here's what I can tell you about the Autoart: paint, interior, and engine detail are all very nice. Chrome work is well done, wheels and tires as well. Hood hinges are a nice touch, and the door hinges work very smoothly.
Lows: There's a little too much body flex and "creak and groan" for my tastes, especially given the price point. Trunk does not stay up on its own.
Summary: I like the model, though I bought it used for only $30. Had I paid full retail, which I believe is north of $50, I'd have been disappointed. What's interesting is the range of quality that can be found within Autoart's Millenium Series line of models. This diecast costs the same at retail as the Jaguar XJ13, but the quality and fit-and-finish differences between the two are dramatic. The Jaguar is world's better, and that's an understatement. While there are probably no poor models in the Millenium line, there appear to be some great ones and some merely-good ones. This BMW 2002 Turbo qualifies as merely-good.
